On April 4, 2016 the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published the final Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) General Permit. Since its finalization, there has been much discussion on how the MS4 permit will impact municipalities. Join CAPACCIO and Newton Tedder, US EPA Region 1, for a focused discussion on how the permit will impact state colleges and universities. With the MS4 permit becoming effective July 1, 2017, there are several steps you should be taking and this webinar will provide important information to ensure your campus is ready to meet the permit requirements.
During the webinar, guest speaker Newton Tedder, Environmental Scientist, Region 1 US EPA, and lead permit writer for the Massachusetts MS4 permit, will review, among other things, specific requirements for colleges and universities under the new MS4 permit, including important due dates, how to complete a Notice of Intent, and what you should include in the Stormwater Management Program.
Christopher Walton, PE, BCEE, and David Averill, EIT, of CAPACCIO will share highlights from a recent stormwater project and review tips on how to create an effective storm water management plan (SWMP). The webinar will conclude with an anonymous Q&A session where webinar attendees can ask specific questions of both US EPA and CAPACCIO.
