ISO 14001 EMS Planning
Module #3 of an 8 Module Set

This module of the course explains the requirements of ISO 14001 pertaining to Environmental Planning. The module specifically addresses aspects & impacts, legal & other requirements, objectives & targets, and programs.

The course provides details on the following topics:

• Planning Requirements of the Standard;

• Guidelines on approaches for identifying and documenting environmental aspects & impacts and legal & other requirements;

• Instructions on ISO 14001 approach to establishing environmental objectives & targets and supporting environmental programs;

• Strategies for establishing, implementing, & maintaining these key components of an ISO 14001 EMS including important links between the various elements.

Examples from organizations that have registered to the ISO 14001 standard are used throughout the module.
