Description:
Assessment of multi-media solvent contamination including buried waste
Summary:

Capaccio conducted a comprehensive investigation to delineate aromatic and chlorinated solvent contamination to soil, groundwater, and surface water from a drum reclamation facility.  Buried waste is present on-site. DNAPL is suspected. Rapid assessment using Geoprobes and on-site gas chromatography was conducted.  Waste removal and source control is planned.

Client:
Industrial Co., South Boston, MA
Description:
Peer review of assessment and remediation of chlorinated solvent contamination
Summary:

Capaccio provided a second opinion regarding 1) the nature and extent of chlorinated solvent contamination to groundwater, soil, and air; 2) the appropriateness of investigation methods used to delineate DNAPL; 3)  adequacy of the clean up plan; and 4) overall strategy and direction of the project.

Client:
Industrial Co., Waltham, MA
Description:
Assessment of aromatic and chlorinated solvents in groundwater
Summary:
Capaccio completed assessment of groundwater in overburden and bedrock contaminated with acetone and chlorinated solvents. DNAPL is suspected. Investigations used conventional drilling, and a soil gas survey and on-site gas chromatograph to determine that the release occurred from a former tenant to the property.  Regulatory submittals included a Phase I report and Tier II Classification and Interim Phase II report.
