Mechanical Designer/CAD Manager
Full Time

Capaccio Environmental Engineering, Inc. seeks a mid-level Mechanical Designer/CAD Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience in industrial process equipment drafting and design.  The successful candidate must be an expert user with AutoCAD 2010 (preferably 2012) and provide work samples demonstrating experience with the preparation of equipment layout plans, profiles, and details for industrial wastewater, remediation, and process engineering projects.  A full working knowledge and mastery of the following AutoCAD features is required; working with and maintaining external references; creation and use of attributed blocks; ability to create, modify and use dwt templates, layer standards, layer filters, and annotation; working in paper and model space; and the ability to batch plot. Experience with Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD Plant or MEP is a plus.

In the role of mechanical designer, the successful candidate will be responsible for; working with project engineering teams to establish and meet project design schedules, ensuring the timely implementation and completion of design projects, collecting field data and measurements to prepare and verify drawing information, possess sound project management and organizational skills, and be able to work within the project scope, schedule, and budget established for assigned projects.

In the role of CAD Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating drafting software and hardware needs, ensuring that AutoCAD software licenses are current, tracking drafting workload and scheduling, identifying temporary or permanent drafting personnel needs, updating existing company-wide drafting standards, and training junior engineers in the general use of AutoCAD.

The position requires a minimum of a two-year technical degree or equivalent training/experience and a minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience using AutoCAD and an expert knowledge of AutoCAD 2010.  The successful candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills.  Certification in one or more AutoCAD specialty such as 2D or 3D design is highly desirable and active membership in related industry groups such as AUGI is a plus.  This job requires some travel to client sites.


CSR/Sustainability Specialist
Full Time

Seeking a Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Specialist with 3 to 5 years relevant experience to assist staff and clients with a variety of tasks including: CSR reporting, sustainability program development; assisting with the collection, compilation, and analysis of operating data for use in corporate reporting; conducting gap analyses of existing operations; conducting benchmark analyses; conducting systems audits; preparing reports; conducting internet research activities; maintaining technical databases; and other miscellaneous responsibilities.  This position requires a bachelors degree in environmental sciences, environmental management, sustainability or a related field from a leading academic institution (master's degree preferred). Candidates from other fields with significant related academic and/or work experience will be considered.  Relevant certifications are a plus.

Environmental Engineer - Air Quality

Seeking a talented environmental engineer with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in air quality permitting, reporting, and compliance.  Duties include assisting clients and staff with a variety of environmental consulting services related to air quality. Position requires a B.S. in Engineering in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or related discipline.  EIT, PE or other relevant certifications are a plus.

CAPACCIO is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Scientist with 0 to 3 years relevant experience to assist staff and clients with a variety of tasks including: EH&S regulatory review and compliance, preparing regulatory submittals, environmental operating permit preparation; assisting with compliance and systems audits; preparing reports; conducting internet research activities; assisting with emissions calculations; maintaining technical databases; and other miscellaneous responsibilities.  This position requires a B.S. in environmental science, environmental studies or related discipline. Certifications such as ASP, TURP, CHMM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Ability to obtain EIT within 6-months of hire is required; other relevant certifications are a plus.

Environmental, Health and Safety Scientist - Senior Level

Seeking a highly-motivated senior-level environmental, health and safety scientist and Senior Project Manager for a strong career growth-oriented position assisting clients and staff with a variety of environmental, health and safety compliance and management services, including:

  • Providing on-site environmental, health and safety services at client sites
  • Developing written environmental, health and safety programs
  • Developing and delivering environmental, health and safety training programs
  • Conducting multi-media environmental, health and safety compliance audits of industrial manufacturing operations including pre-audit preparation, facility auditing, and the preparation of clear and concise audit finding reports.
  • Conducting environmental, health and safety management system conformance audits
  • Preparation of environmental permits and reports such as TIER II, Form R / Form S, air source registrations, industrial wastewater discharge, storm water, and more.

Successful candidates for this position must:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited institution in engineering, environmental science or business management
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Have a minimum of seven years experience in consulting
  • Have a minimum of seven years of project management experience
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Be independently driven and able to multi-task
  • Demonstrate strong management skills in the areas of project budgeting, scheduling, scope management, and resource management
  • Have working knowledge of management systems such as ISO 9000, ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office software products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point

Additional qualifications / experience considered a plus:

  • Have experience in conducting GAP analyses for management systems and product compliance
  • Have experience in interpreting applicability of product regulations and environmental restrictions such as RoHS, WEEE, and REACH
  • Have experience in reviewing and interpreting ISO standards and guidelines including, but not limited to ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Have experience in performing ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 system implementation and integration services including presentations, training, and documentation
  • Familiarity with industrial process operations including electronics, semiconductor, biotechnology, biosciences, life science, or hospitals
